Is there a plug-in or something I could use to make all Oppo pages open on the "All Replies" section. I've noticed that all that would mean is adding /all to the url for the page. I usually like to read all the comments on Oppo posts and when I have to click on "All Replies" then I have to go back twice to get to the homepage. If this is possible it might just make Tiger tolerable.
Thanks!

Nope. That isn't the way your browser interacts with the site, that's the way the site was designed. They would have to set it as default themselves, or make it a setting, which would be nice.

I know it wasn't designed that way...It seems like it would be possible to add /all to the end of links I click on a particular site though. There's nothing that does that?

Not that I can see. Doesn't sound too hard though:

That's definitely possible. I've never created a browser plugin, but I might just try my hand at it.
I'm actually gonna give that a try. I'll see what I can come up with. It'll be a firefox addin, if I'm successful.

Tell Ernie about what you want. If you tag this post with Kinja Help they will read it. I asked him about this earlier and they are talking about that but the more people that chime in to let them know it is desirable it may happen.

I tagged it Kinja Help already. I know they eventually come around and read stuff. I hope they make it a setting!

Here ya go, I've made one. It's an add-in for firefox and a script for greasemonkey/tampermonkey (in case you're a chrome user), hosted on my server here .
If anyone uses it, please let me know how it works for you.

I've done some testing, and it's still pretty crude at this point. I'll try to smooth out some of the kinks tomorrow if I get the time, then I'll post back again.

Okay, as of version 0.2.1, everything appears to be working. Please feel free to try it out and let me know if you encounter any bugs.
Cheers!

We've discussed making this a sticky feature. Nothing written in stone yet but it's on our radar.

It works!!!! Thank you so much. I used the tampermonkey script and so far it is flawless!

Great! I have found one flaw in the design, but I might fix it eventually. If you visit a page from an RSS feed, it will get reloaded a bunch of times, forcing you to click to the FP and visit the article from there. This should only affect RSS readers, though. If you have any trouble with it, let me know.
Cheers!

I've fixed the bug with RSS feeds, Facebook links, and tag pages, and added all of the Gawker blogs (Gizmodo, io9, etc). If you want to upgrade, you'll need to delete the old version first, before installing the new.
Cheers!

Hey Ernie - I know you're probably busy with the troubles today, but I wanted to bring your attention back to this thread. An Opponaut in the replies above has created a tamper monkey script that I have been using in Chrome with great success. I didn't even know people were having trouble today until they started posting about it. The only time it causes a problem is in private view and when searching because these things don't work with /all at the end.
I still think it would really really awesome if this was some kind of setting, because then I would be able to view gawker blogs the way I want to in my preferred browser, Safari (don't laugh, Crome is a CPU hog on my tiny little computer).

Thanks, groupchat improvements are on our radar. It's something we will consider!
